El WS-17 (wireless set-17),es un equipo trnsceptor creado para enlazar llos reflectores antiaereos con su control de seguimiento;en los deseperados dias previos a la nunca realizda operacion Seelöwe,los ingleses lo distribuyeron entre la Home Guard,en un desesperado intento de darles la mas elemental cadena de comunicaciones,es parecido internamente al BC-222,tambien es un receptor regenerativo,el rango es de 44 a 61 MHZ,con 350 mW en antena,el equipo lleva en su parte interna sus baterias que son una de 2 V, y dos de 60 V en serie.El alcance es de 3 a 5 millas,y con una antena rombica especial,hasta 15 millas.
Para los que entienden medianamente ingles recomiendo ver la pelicula y luego serie inglesa DAD´S ARMY,que es una satira de la home guard,con mucho de Benny Hills,de esta Volkssturm britanica de 1940.

Also used by the British 21st Independent Parachute Company in Italy.

I have the war diary entry somewhere... Not many people know they used it and probably noone will believe you because it"s not an "airborne" radio.

I know the guy who wrote the war diary... His mind is still very sharp and he said they used them. They also used the S-Phone.
