None of the captions of these wartime photos were helpful, I found the place to be the tiny village Emmenhausen in the Solling woods. The train was hit by artillery fire on 8.April and the remains were blown up by Task Force Richardson on 9.April 1945. A few miles down the road they bumped into a group of Tiger tanks near Harste.
Just before the train was hit by US Artillery on 8.April, two SS officers had listend to a telephone call by a German railroad inspector named August Kinge, telling his boss on the other end of the line about the position of the Flak train. They arrested him and shoot him later in the village of Hettensen, after American artillery fire had hit and destroyed the train.
