The authentic railroad jeep on display at the Australian War Memorial has its 'original' rims - taken from a captured Japanese truck.
Somewhere I have some information on how this jeep was collected from Burma(?) by the AWM artifacts team not long after the war but I can't find it at the moment. It does appear to have been repainted and marked.
Here are some photos I took when I was there in 2001. My apology for the dark photos, there was not a lot of ambient light and my camera flash was not very powerful.
