Studebaker 2 1/2 ton truck (G630) with an overturned 105mm howitzer in a ditch.
Appears that the driver of the Studebaker ventured too close to the edge of the road, dropped the right wheel of the howitzer into the ditch and overturned his artillery piece. Tough to swing wide on a narrow road.
Studebaker built its version of the "deuce and a half" in both 6 x 6 and 6 X 4 versions, known, respectively, as Model US6 or US6x4.
Maintenance Manual for the early versions of the vehicle is TM 10-1565 with TM 10-1564 being the corresponding Parts Manual. The Army standardized the US6 manuals with TM 9-807 circa 1943.
