Parts book entry:

It shows the rear propeller shaft tube to be:

A-1429 Propeller Shaft Tube Assembly - Rear (Spicer No. K2-62-210-212-1718) which is the same as the LOPN.

According to the Willys factory LOPN:

A-1429 Prop. Shaft Tube Assy. Rear (Spicer MFG. Corp. - K2-62-210-212-1718)

When I do a search of other propeller shaft tubes with a similar number (Spicer K2-62-210-312-1718), it actually comes up as an experimental MB propeller shaft:

A-5704 Propeller Shaft Sub Assembly Rear (Spicer # K2-62-210-312-1718) - Obsolete Never Used

To make things more interesting, A-5704 was superceded by:

A-5735 Propeller Shaft Sub Assembly Rear (2 3/4 Dia. X .065 Wall Construction) (Spicer # K2-60-222-712-1718)

The main tube for this was:

A-5736 Propeller Shaft Tube (2 3/4 Dia. X .065 Wall Construction) (Spicer # 22-30-12) (Post # 22-30-12-1205)

What is interesting is that these 3 part numbers were originally released for production. For the LOPN A-100 book, when a part number is assigned to a part, it is given the number suffix. When the entry is made in the book, the part number is type something like "A -5735". While the part is just experimental, a "E" is written in pencil after the A to signify it is still an experimental part. When the part is approved to be released for production, the "E' is erased. These 3 parts have the E erased. So something made them not become parts after that decision was made. The first one was obsoleted immediately. The last 2 are a mystery.
