Luis

Hola Luis

To answer the question...
The wood spacer is made of Oak..1/4" thick.....x 3/4" wide....x 13.250" long
Drilled are three holes at 6" spacings.
Go get your measuring stick, if your length of the fold is 3.250" you need the spacer, if your fold is 3.500". you probably don't need it.
The piece is listed as "Shield, Fuel Tank", it's there to keep crap out of the fuel tank area. The wood spacer is listed as Part No. W-O A-3248 I have never been able to find a Ford part number for the spacer, yet, I have seen Ford seats require the spacer to allow the three holes to align with the captive nuts in the rear floor. My "F" marked seat for the '44 GPW needs it.
Several shapes of the final fold (the one with the three holes to align with the captive nuts and wood spacer holes), some have been noted as having straight cut ends, while Fords in particular have rounder ends.
Some are merely spot welded to the seat pan, others are seen with spot welds and attaching machine thread screws.

All the wood does is bridge the gap between the Shield and the floor so the holes align.
